Jimmy Marchetti stared at the painted porcelain skull that had just been delivered to his office. He was about to have someone get rid of it when his cellphone rang.

“Hello?”

“Jimmy? It’s Gina. I’m in trouble. I need help.”

“Slow down, Gina,” Jimmy said, alarmed. “Tell me what happened.”

Alex gave Jimmy the same story she had given to Fausto, but she added, “Fausto said he’s tired of you interfering with his plans. He said he’s going to arrange a meeting for the two of you to hash things out like men, but he plans to have his entire crew there with him. Jimmy, I’m terrified that he plans to kill you.”

“Don’t worry, Gina. I know how to deal with Fausto Giordano. And if he’s gonna bring his crew to a meeting, well, two can play that game.”

“Be careful, Jimmy. I don’t want anything to happen to you.”

“Not a chance, babe. I’ll call you after, okay?”

“Okay.”

Jimmy ended the call and yelled for his crew. When they came into his office, he told them what Gina had said. “He and his crew are coming after me, but he’s not expecting all of you to be there. Fausto is mine, but the rest are yours. No survivors, got it? Wipe them all out.”
